All the information you need regarding payment and the financial details relating to your order.
We have streamlined our checkout to make the ordering process enjoyably seamless.
In order for everyone to benefit from our refurbished Macs, and other electronics sold with long warranties, we accept payment via credit or debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and for Education and other public sector, we can accept payment via purchase order (PO).
Our MonthlyCare warranty is billed automatically by direct debit and can be cancelled any time.

Whether you are an individual, a business, or a public sector body such as a school or council, we have many years of experience and will be equipped to accept orders from you and accommodate your buying procedures in order for you to benefit from the refurbished electronics deals offered by Maple.
The payment methods available vary depending on whether you are an individual, a business or a public sector organisation.

If paying directly by card rather than using PayPal or one of our other payment methods, the cards we accept are:

For your protection, and ours, your card must be enrolled in 3D secure version 2.0.
When placing an order using your card, when you’ve previously been prompted for digits from the password associated with your card, this is 3D secure version 1.0 – this was designed to verify that it was the card holder placing the order. Version 2.0 is more sophisticated, and is when your card is associated with your mobile phone number, mobile application, or email address, and you are provided with a one time passcode from your card issuer when placing an order to ensure it is you placing the order with your card.
We take security and protection of your data very seriously at Maple. Placing an order at Maple is very secure. As mentioned above, we only accept cards which are enrolled in 3D version 2.0.
Maple is a secure website, secured with a Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate, giving us the padlock of security which comes with HTTPS.
This means any details you provide to us will be private, and no one can intercept the payment details you enter onto our website due to the protection from encryption afforded by HTTPS.
It is always recommended that you using a suitable anti virus and anti spyware package on your device when placing orders, but as long as your device is secure, then our website is perfectly secure.
Customers are able to select to optionally store their card payment details, this is handled by our card processor Global Payments via API, and is fully PCI DSS compliant, and is therefore very secure. Maple do not have access to view your card details, just a snipped of identifiers to identify the card used to pay.
It is safe to secure your card details with us, as these are stored with full PCI DSS compliance and handled fully by our payment processor, Global Payments.

If you have chosen to store your card payment details with us when placing an order, and you’d now like to remove your card, you can do so in your account and selecting ‘Payment Methods’, here you can delete your card.
Maple process our card payment using GlobalPayments who are one of the most major worldwide card payment processors.

You can use Apple Pay when placing an order at Maple. This will use your card details stored in your Apple wallet in the normal way.
Once you payment has been authorised and have completed your order at Maple, you will be redirected to the success page.
You should also receive an order confirmation email to the email address that was provided in the checkout process.
The value of the order will be authorised on the card immediately and is usually debited from your car the same day or next work day from your card.
Most orders will be paid for through the website, using credit or debit card, or PayPal.
The MonthlyCare plan will be billed to the card payment method that was used when placing your order. This is specified in the checkout process.
Your care plan can be cancelled at any time. You can cancel your subscription electronically online in the subscription section of your My Account. Alternatively you can contact us directly to cancel.
Do not cancel your card payment directly with your card issuer as this will incur a cancellation fee.
If you cancel your care plan, this will void any warranty that is included in the MonthlyCare above and beyond out standard warranty.
Maple does not currently accept payment via direct debit.
For your security and ours, we do not accept card payment over the telephone.
Public sector institutions can select to pay via PO (Purchase Order).
We understand that making payments can be slightly more complicated for public sector institutions.
If you’d like to pay in this way, please select “PO” as the payment option in the checkout when placing the order.
Maple will then invoice you for payment for the order which can then be used by your accounting team to generate a Purchase Order which must be provided as a pdf via email from the institution ordering. We must be able to validate the Purchase Order by contacting your account team.
Payments must be made within 30 days of delivery of the items which selecting to pay via PO.
Some Maple account holders prefer to pay via Faster Payments or BACS. If you’d prefer to pay in this way, we can provide you with a full invoice for payment. Please select Bank Transfer in the checkout as the payment option.
You will be provided with the order invoice and our bank account details to make payment.
It is very important that you let us know when payment has been initiated by emailing us on the email address provided with the payment accounts details.
Orders via bank transfer are not completed until payment has been received by Maple. We cannot reserve or hold stock until items are paid for. If the item(s) being order sell to someone else before you make your payment, we will refund your order.
Maple do not currently offer the option for payment via instalments or any way for orders to be paid for on a split payment basis.
This is something we are working towards offering in the near future.
Maple do not have access to view your card payment details.
Global Payments, our card processor provide a portal through which card details are entered on our secure site. The card payment details are not stored and we do not have access to view them, other than the last few digits of the card to identify the transaction, and the risk score associated which is usually measured by metrics such as whether the card billing address matches what the customer has entered.
Maple has successfully sold tens of thousands of electronic items including mainly MacBooks, iMacs and desktop computers. We have been highly commended in the Handelsbanken Business Awards, and our director has an article written about his business in the local Guardian Newspaper.
Our website is secured by HTTPS and we do not store your card payment details.
In addition, we offer warranties on all the electronics we sell, so you really are in safe hands at Maple.

You card issuer can now associated your card with your mobile phone number, mobile phone application, or email address, and you are provided with a one time passcode from your card issuer when placing an order to ensure it is you placing the order with your card.
We do not currently offer gift cards at Maple.

Maple has also been in existence since 2009.
We are VAT registered, but as the items we sell are refurbished, and are often acquired from previous owners who are not VAT registered, most items sold at Maple are sold under the HMRC VAT Margin Rate Scheme.
The margin rate scheme means we pay 1/6 (16.66%) of our margin to HMRC as VAT, however this is not reclaimable by our customers. This is designed to emulate the net VAT we’d pay if we acquired the item from a VAT registered suppliers, and sold for our sell price including VAT.
There is no VAT to pay on top of our website prices advertised to our UK customers, however VAT is not always reclaimable.
When placing an order at Maple, you will have received a copy of your invoice on the order success page, and you will have been emailed a copy of your invoice to the email address specified in the checkout.
