Product Warranty

The Maple product warranty
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that our customers are happy with their purchases. If something happens to go wrong with your item, we will try to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

Problems can occasionally occur; this is why we have developed a good warranty to protect our customers.
Each item on Maple UK website will include a product warranty. The length of this warranty will depend on whether the product is brand new or refurbished. *Certain products have different warranty cover period than that specified on the warranty FAQ pages, the duration of cover will be clearly specified on the product listing if different to the standard cover offered.

The warranty on Maple’s own brand of computer will be different to that of other brands.

There is often a chance that refurbished items may still be under the original manufactures warranty; this is unlikely to be listed on the website due to the time it takes to check with the manufacturer. *Their terms of warranty may be different to ours.




What is covered in my warranty?
Only the hardware components with the product are covered. Any software included is provided “AS IS” and is not covered under our warranty.

The limited warranty is non transferable. The original order number should be present with the item. 

The limited warranty does not cover faults resulting from misuse, accidental damage, modification or alteration to hardware or software, tampering, unsuitable physical or operating environment beyond product specifications, improper maintenance, or failure caused by a product for which Maple Computers are not responsible for.

Software is not covered under our warranty. Computers should come preloaded with an operating system, unless otherwise specified. If the specification suggest your item should have an operating system and it does not, please let us know within seven working days of delivery by contacting us on 08000 337 035 and we will resolve this as quickly as possible.

Fair wear and tear is not covered in the product warranty.


Warranty Conditions
 
Term of this Limited Warranty:  For a period of one (1) year from the original date of delivery on brand new items or three (3) month from the original date of delivery on refurbished items.

The limited warranty is non transferable. The original order number should be present with the item. 

Customers must alert us of any faults before returning a faulty item. If items are returned to us without prior agreement, delivery may be refused at our warehouse.

Recovery of a refund will not be greater than the original purchase price.

Whether we choose to repair, replace or offer a refund on the faulty item is under our discretion.

We will not be liable for any loss of data, personal injury or damage to the environment as a result of any faults.

Refurbished items which have been repaired or replaced under warranty are covered for thirty (30) days from the date of supply, if the original warranty has expired. All refurbished MacBooks include a free 30 day warranty on the battery.

We will pay for the return carriage if you alert us of any faults on items within thirty (30) days of delivery, beyond this point customers will be liable for expense of returning the item back to us.


Warranty Instructions
If your item has become faulty, you will need to inform us by telephone on 08000 337 035.

You will need to complete our returns form and state the reason for your return as faulty. Please describe the fault in detail.

Once this has been approved the item can then be returned in the suitable packaging to our warehouse in South London using a reputable courier.

We will not be liable for any damages caused to the item whilst the item is in return transit. The customer will be responsible for packaging the item is sufficient packaging for transportation.

You must have a proof of postage and/or tracking number for the item being returned.

Once we have received your item, and if all the conditions set out in the Maple returns policy are met, we will repair, replace or refund at our discretion.

We will pay for the return carriage if you alert us of any faults on items within thirty (30) days of delivery, beyond this point customers will be liable for expense of returning the item back to us.


Can I extend the warranty on my brand new item?
The warranty can be extended up to three years on all of Maple’s Own brand new computers. Our warranty covering electronics manufactured by other brands can be extended up to two years.

Can I extend the warranty on my refurbished item?
Warranties on refurbished items can be extended up to three years. The price of extending the warranty on refurbished items depends on the item’s value.

All refurbished MacBooks include a free 30 day warranty on the battery. As batteries are regarded as a consumable, this can not be extended.
